A Note From the Administrative Team:
Express Coaching™ has been going

The recent changes are reflected here in the recent redesign of
our site. Our aim is to make it easier for you, our visitor, to

you want more quickly and easily.
We have also claimed a new URL that better reflects our work
as we continue to expand in the UK. You can now locate us on the

www.lifecoachtraining.ws.
In the way of new additions, please look at the "Are You a

newsletter and have visited our site a few times while wondering
if you have what it takes to make a great coach - why not find
out? This is no ordinary assessment!
This is a no gimmicks assessment,
based on well-researched psychological principles. This 50

As always, our heart-felt thanks goes out to our newsletter
contributors who are always willing to jump in and spend the
necessary hours to sit down and write the insightful,
interesting, and oftentimes just good fun articles that we share
with you each and every month of the year!
And of course, we thank you - for taking the initiative to

Article: You Can Be Happy
by: Dr. Randin Brons, Ph.D., C.M.H., M.S.L.C.
One of the misconceptions that come with happiness is that many people think
it is only associated with someone or something. A lot of us believe that if we
have a larger house, a better education, or a more expensive car, then we would
be truly happy and contented with life.
Others would assume that if they are able to make someone happy through the good
deeds that they have done, then they would also be extremely happy. The same is
true of people who receive gifts and tokens of appreciation. Indeed, happiness
is a subjective state; and to finally arrive at this conclusion is truly so is
something that all of us covet.
The bottom line is that you don’t have to rely on an object or a person to make
you happy. You yourself can be happy – you alone can be happy. How, you say?
This doesn't mean you ... Click here to

Article: I Ought to Know by:
Angela Frisby, M.L.B.C., M.S.L.C. I’m one of
those idealistic optimists who will grasp something long after its
unused potential has expired. As I’ve aged, it’s been a challenge for me
to let go of my perceptions of how things “should” or “ought” to be.
Whether it was a friend who “ought” to understand my viewpoint, an
employer who “ought” to defend my work, a lawbreaker who “ought” to know
better, or someone I loved who “ought” to love me back. Time, offering
me the sight of a bigger picture, has helped me understand that to grow,
I had to let go of these notions.
I was recently reminded of this lesson when my wayward tabby cat offered
a peek at my heart. When he was a kitten, he was very lovable and
devoted; the attention he provided was wonderful. However, when he was a
few years old, he was hurt and it changed everything about him. He
became distrustful and distant, not letting me come within yards of him.
I tried to coax him to revert to his previous ways. Over time, he would
let me in closer proximity ...

Quote of the Month: "The victory of
success is half won when one gains the habit of setting goals and
achieving them. Even the most tedious chore will become endurable as you
parade through each day convinced that every task, no matter how menial
or boring, brings you closer to fulfilling your dreams." -- Og

Article: Women's Workshops
and How They Work by: Linda Johnson, M.S.L.C.
Self-esteem is a core identity issue that is essential to personal
validation and the ability to experience joy.
Self-esteem emanates from the inside out. Often times, it is assaulted
or stunted from the outside. A woman with low self-esteem does not feel
good about herself because she had absorbed negative messages about
women from her environment.
The reign of youth, beauty, and thin bodies presents a dooms day
scenario for every woman. Magazines, starting with the teenage market,
have programmed women to focus most of their efforts on appearances.
By the age of 12, a lot of girls disregard previously enjoyable
activities in favor of the beauty treadmill leading that leads to
nowhere. They become fanatical about diets. They munch on leaves without
salad dressing the way rabbits do, they jog in ice storms, and swear
they love all of it! Ads abound for cosmetic surgery, enticing them to
"repair" their aging bodies as if the natural aging process was some
kind of an accident or a disease. Yet, despite all these effort ...

Article: When We Wish Upon a Star or Rub
that Genie's Bottle ... Everyone is Neutral
by: Linda Walden, L.R.C., G.C.
As a people we crave for relationships. We search the world over and
make a wish, whether it is upon a star, or through the magical Genie’s
bottle, for companionship, love and acceptance. As members of the human
race, we desire to be a part of something bigger than just ourselves. So
what draws us to this connectivity with our fellow humans, and,
hopefully, to our lover or life partner? What makes us connect?
Some people connect with food and alcohol. Many others connect with sex.
Humanity craves that which is physical--we want to see it, touch it, and
feel it. We wish to experience it. Relationships mean there will be
mutual benefit to each party. We expect terms in our relationship to
guarantee benefits. Regardless of the relationship, whether it is
business or romantic, those terms ensure that we will receive benefits.
It is when the terms are ...
